About the Job
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with the Cabinet Office Government Grants Management Function to ensure grant risk, controls and assurance requirements are accurately reflected in the Grants Functional Standard and help shape guidance to support future grant making.
- Provide assurance and advice to grant making organisations across government to facilitate their compliance with the key principles and minimum requirements that underpin the Grants Functional Standard.
- Through input to the cross government ‘Complex Grants Advisory Panel’, provide advisory input to departments / ALBs on all matters relating to risk, controls and assurance relating to grant making.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the government wide grant making community to continue to position and embed GIAA as a provider of Grants assurance and advisory services which support the optimisation of taxpayer value and public service delivery.
About You
In this role you will have a detailed understanding of the government’s grants control framework through which it delivers its manifesto commitments. You will have experience of providing advice to a cross-government customer base on matters relating to risk, controls and assurance in order to ensure compliance with the key principles and minimum requirements that underpin the Grants Functional Standard. You’ll also have experience of delivering a complex programme of assurance work and being able to effectively manage the needs and expectations of a broad customer base, having strong networking and influencing capabilities.
