Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

Job Overview:

An fabulous opportunity to deliver impartial assurance on the internal control, risk management, and governance framework that supports the well established organisation's handling of operational and strategic risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify the areas in which assurance from internal audit is needed and creating a plan for each audit assignment to deliver that assurance.
• Implement an appropriate internal audit methodology to achieve the objectives of the audit and strategize and
• Carry out assigned audit tasks within the designated timeframe.
• Perform risk-based assurance audits targeting both strategic and operational risks
• Supervise and evaluate the tasks performed by other audit team members when required at times
• Providing strategic advice to Directors and Senior Managers

Requirements:

• CCAB / CMIIA or CIA or equivalent relevant experience.
• Extensive resourcing experience in Talent Acquisition, with a focus on advanced-level strategies and practices.
• In-depth knowledge of Public Sector Internal Audit Standards, The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, and Section 151 of the Local Government Act of 1972.
• Strong communication, persuasion and negotiating skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills
• Self assured with ability to exercise your own judgment and use initiative
