SalaryMy client is looking for a Senior Authorised Person to work on a large residential site in Canary Wharf. The ideal candidate will carry out High Voltage Operations on DNO networks. The activities will include High Voltage switching, issuing of safety documentation, fault repair, network alterations and new network construction works.
Duties
• Switching on High Voltage networks (both DNO and privately owned networks)
• Issuing of safety documents on High Voltage networks (both DNO and privately owned networks)
• Plan and deliver High Voltage works on DNO owned networks
• Plan and deliver High Voltage works on customer owned private networks
• Acting as a Control Engineer on private networks
• Enforcing RAMS & Energisation procedures
• Attend daily briefings & site walks with main contractors and clients
• Ensure good testing procedures and quality workmanship is always maintained
• Maintain detailed Energisation trackers inclusive of any faults identified
• Maintaining LOTO register along with managing the process from start to finish
• Report to Senior Project Manager
• Progress Meetings / Reports as required
• Liaise with principle contractors commissioning manager and produce / maintain witness testing lookahead's.
• Manage the upload of all test data onto the NICEIC certs online
• Ensure testing deadlines are met in line with handover dates
• Review all test certs and contest any results that are deemed inaccurate or out of the permitted ranges
Must Have
• Previous experience of working as a Senior Authorised Person on either DNO Networks or customer owned private networks.
• Previous experience of working on underground or overhead High Voltage networks.
• Previous experience of working to the Distribution Safety Rules
• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• NVQ3 & Initial and Periodic Inspecting and Testing of Electrical Installations 18th Edition
• SMSTS or SSSTS
