Summary
The role will vary depending on the project but will primarily focus on the delivery within the Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics and AI space. This is a client-facing position, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable speaking with clients and some occasional travel.
Responsibilities
Working on projects that utilise products within the Microsoft Azure and SQL Data analytics stack, including Synapse, ADF, Data Lake, Data Bricks, Power BI and MS Fabric.
Satisfying the expectations and requirements of customers, both internal and external.
Supporting others in their development.
Building solutions that adhere to our client’s data principles and delivering against our Data Management framework.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Consultancy experience across Financial, Retail. Not for profit sectors
Presales consultancy experience
Experience working in data quality, data governance or data management frameworks.
5+ years’ experience
Experience with Microsoft D365
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services.
One or more certified Azure certifications for the below pathways in Microsoft Data Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, AI Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Administration.
Experience in delivering Microsoft Azure/SQL, Data Analytics solutions, with a good grounding in all associated areas including Synapse, Data Lake, Data Bricks, Azure SQL, Logic Apps and Power BI.
Experience working with Azure DevOps
Experience in migrating SQL Server VMs to Azure
Strategic and operational decision-making skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Ability and attitude towards investigating and sharing new technologies
Ability to guide, direct or influence people
Ability to identify opportunities and issues
Willingness to learn based on feedback
Able to help others develop
Experience and/or knowledge of data quality and lineage tools: Ad Initio, Collibra, Informatica, IBM MDM, Azure Purview
Experience creating and using data models and data definitions
Strong presentation skills both written and oral, experienced in presenting complex data concepts to a business audience i.e. running workshops and formal data governance meetings
Personal Situation
Comfortable with the consulting lifestyle, willing to travel to clients, the office, able to work extended hours on occasion and to spend nights away from home (some international travel may be required).
Candidates will hold a United Kingdom driving licence
