Senior BI Developer - £60,000 - Birmingham (Hybrid)

My client, a leading retail company are currently seeking a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our team and contribute to our mission of excellence.

As a Business Intelligence Developer you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions that empower stakeholders at all levels of the organization to make informed decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled BI Developer to leverage their expertise in data analytics and visualisation within a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust BI solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Build and optimize data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Create visually compelling reports, dashboards, and interactive data visualizations that provide actionable insights.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement and business growth.
• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in BI and data analytics.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst in a retail or e-commerce environment
• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Experience with data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts
• Solid understanding of retail business processes and metrics (e.g., sales, inventory, customer analytics).
