The Client Solutions function within OCS UK group is designed to facilitate and support the successful winning of new and repeat business.
The Senior Bid Manager will drive the end-to-end coordination of customer bid activity, the coordination and administration of all project and stakeholder management activity, production of high-quality written responses to bid opportunities, submission of opportunities and other support to the Business Development teams.
The Senior Bid Manager will hold complete accountability for the quality of the bid materials along with the ‘buy-in’ from the business to utilise the resources required to submit the proposal to the customer. This unique role extends to all client facing collateral, including proposals, slide content, follow-up interaction and informal customer engagement requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- To develop a deep knowledge of OCS Group UK, building both horizontal and vertical relationships with business leaders to facilitate successful bidding.
- To fully programme manage bid activity on behalf of business development teams, including the facilitation of deal planning sessions, bid development, final bid document submission, bid award and (if appropriate) handover to mobilisation.
- Management responsibility for a small team within the private sector function.
- Development responsibility for colleagues within the function in respect of bid management and document creation in respect to interfacing with design.
- Researching potential clients and developing an understanding of their requirements.
- Organising and facilitating bid kick off and solution meetings in conjunction with the primary sales lead and other bid contributors.
- Create written content which is persuasive and informative.
- To consult with respective heads of business development on opportunities, co-ordinate tender document production, formatting and submission.
- Onward development and ownership of written and visuals content by subject matter experts in support of proposition development and key selling messages.
About You:
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- Educated to degree/HND or equivalent.
- Experience in a bid/proposal management environment with clear experience in leading winning bids.
- Impeccable time management, allowing prioritisation of a complex and varied workload.
- Strong leadership skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience of leading, influencing and developing cross-functional teams in a bid environment.
- Excellent communication, written and spoken English essential with the ability to spot and correct spelling and grammatical errors in text written by others and create compelling text themselves.
- The creative skills and vision to generate compelling content and produce graphics to replace wording, where appropriate.
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint to allow accurate manipulation and formatting of bid and presentation templates without supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in communicating with staff at all levels with the ability to form strong working relationships.
- Ability to work accurately with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
- Proactive, hardworking and flexible when approaching challenging deadlines.
- Customer-facing and experienced in leading and attending bid workshops/deal planning sessions and presentations.
- The ability to continuously push for enhancing all forms of output through innovation and critical evaluations.
