Senior Biostatistician

Hobson Prior are currently seeking for a Senior Biostatistician to join a brilliant biotech organisation on a permanent basis located in London. Our client is focused on finding and developing small molecule treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will guarantee that both internal and external data privacy policies are adhered to, as well as that record keeping and filing of data is always updated and precise.
• Assist on business development actions when needed, as well as suitable protection of genetic and biological intellectual property.
• Responsible for statistical/mathematical modelling of biological and clinical datasets, which involves longitudinal data.
• Suggest and develop new analytical attributes for the in-house platform for patient stratification.
• Work alongside other researchers, both internally and externally, to assure the projects progression is effective.
• Discuss the outcomes to the organisation.
• The ideal candidate will aid reputational forming with publications and presentations at conferences.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to an advanced degree level in a mathematics or statistics field.
• Familiarity working with Electronic Health Records, Genotype data, or Real World Data.
• Acquaintance with modelling longitudinal data.
• Expertise and comprehension of Bayesian statistical models.
• Know-how of data privacy concerns and needs.
• Prior involvement using IT tools, for example: cloud computing, Linux, HPC, etc., programming languages such as R, and version control management such as git.
• Former involvement working with immuno-inflammatory diseases, human genetics/bioinformatics would be advantageous.
