Ourclient is a highly successful and expanding family manufacturing business. Dueto ongoing growth they urgently require an Accounts/ Finance Manager to takeresponsibility for a wide range of functions with the Finance Department. Thesuccessful candidate will be able to work closely with their ExternalAccountant and also manage a small team.

THE ROLE
·As Finance Manageryou will assume responsibility for co-ordinating the day to day operations ofthe business, specifically the administration, and finance functions and toensure that effective support is provided to the entire management team.
·Manage the company’sfinance and accounting functions including payroll
·Liaise withGovernment bodies and banks etc with regard to all legislative returns andcommunications (both financial and statistical).
·Ensure the company’sprocedure in wages and salaries is effective and that all necessary records aremaintained and all reports are forwarded to legislative body as required.
·Provide an effectiveCredit Control service to the company.
·Ensure goodmanagement of Cash flow.
·With the ManagingDirector, review and improve company procedures and systems and develop moreeffective approaches to management information gathering.
·Prompt analysis andresolution of supplier queries including the timely reconciliation of supplierstatements;
·Management of theweekly/ monthly payment run, using manual and electronic payment systems as required;including but not limited to, production of cheques, remittances, notificationsof invoices on query and postage to suppliers;
·Maintenance ofAccounts Payable on the accounts system
·Receive incomingcash, cheque or BACS and process on to the system;
·Efficientlyadminister the collection of finances and the resolution of account queries,raising sales invoices and issuing credit notes;
·Day to daymanagement of the front office.
THEPERSON
·Ideally a Qualified Accounts Technician or a Part-Qualified Accountant witha minimum of 5 years relevant experiencewithin industry
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
·Enjoys dealing with people and attending and contributing to weeklymanagement meetings
·Excellent IT skills and Sage proficient
·Able to manage and motivate a small team
·Able to work closely with external Accountant to enable the smoothrunning of the Finance Function
·Enjoys working in a busy, varied environment
·Looking for a long term career with a growing company with the ability totake on extra responsibility as the role expands in the future
·Interested in continuous improvement and development of systems andprocesses.
SALARY
A Salary up to £40k pro rata (negotiable) will be on offer tothe successful candidate.
