The OPRA Group has a great opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a diverse team comprising APC candidates, experienced MRICS surveyors, and Chartered Engineers, the Senior Building Surveyor will contribute to the ongoing growth of the business, particularly in insurance and non-insurance markets.
With a focus on commercial property reinstatement post-insured perils, projects range from £50k to £5m in value.
The role entails leading projects, collaborating with internal teams, and delivering professional reporting within tight deadlines.
This role demands composure under pressure, excellent communication skills, and empathy, ensuring success in delivering exceptional service to insurance policyholders.
Role Duties:
Leading projects to reinstate commercial properties post-insured perils, ranging in value.
Engaging in technical reporting, defects diagnosis, contract administration, and project management.
Supporting and developing less experienced colleagues while promoting team skills to stakeholders.
Building relationships with loss-adjusting teams and potentially bringing non-insurance clients.
Candidate Requirements
Senior Building Surveyor - Essential Skills & Experience Required:
MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with a building-related degree.
A full UK driving license is essential.
Extensive knowledge of building construction and legislation.
Proficiency in project planning, schedule preparation, and contract administration.
Strong decision-making skills, teamwork abilities, and proactive workload management.
IT literacy, particularly in MS Word and Excel.
