TiPJAR is an ambitious scale-up on a global mission to bring transparent, fair, and staff-controlled digital tipping to the hospitality industry & beyond. Set for world domination after doubling our revenue over the last 6 months, we have a common goal of becoming the world's number 1 tipping solution within the next 5 years. We're looking for an energetic self-starter to join our small but experienced team to help pioneer and pursue new sales prospects, as well as develop and maintain new external partnerships.
Our new Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for providing new business leads and servicing inbound sales with a focus on engaging and qualifying all prospective customers. This person will act as our voice, and charge on the front-line working tirelessly to seek out, bring in & convert new leads into successful clients or brand partnerships. You will report into our CCO and be responsible for building lasting traction and growth across the hospitality sector.
This is a hybrid role with time split between our working space in London and working remotely.
Duties of the Senior Business Development Manager:
- Contact prospective accounts by telephone, social media and email
- Market Research to keep on top of industry trends to develop warm leads
- Identify prospects that fit the target demographic
- Attend networking events, community events and hearings to generate leads
- Use product knowledge to showcase the solutions that our company can offer to prospects
- Use database, CRM, and other software to track progress with new prospects
- Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and enquiries
- Work closely with the wider team to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and use case opportunities through direct account engagement and insight tools
- Negotiate and win new clients
- A love of hospitality
- Minimum of 2-3 years B2B sales experience selling into large businesses
- Previous background in Saas and/or Hospitality
- Great teamwork ethic
- Capability of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business value (solution selling)
- Strong and professional communication skills -- written, verbal, presentation.
