The Purchasing Function mission is universal to all business Divisions & Corporate Functions: Supporting L'Oréal UK&I in offering the best in cosmetics innovation to the greatest number of people.

The Senior Sourcing Buyer contributes to the efficiency of the Purchasing department, to the respect of internal control rules, to follow suppliers’ risk and to feed the L'Oréal for the Future program. The Sourcing Buyer will sit in the Sourcing team and reporting into the Purchasing Director. 

The Sourcing Buyer is clearly oriented toward the Suppliers’ market to be considered as an asset for the business unit and a source of efficiency, innovation and value in.

You will

    Develop solid understanding of Business needs and priorities through recurrent contacts and formal meetings as well as the supplier relationship management programme. 

    Define category strategy, align to Zone guidance and with input from Business Partners

    Continually build knowledge of the suppliers’ market by driving benchmark & RFI or market scouting

    Identify new services and valuable suppliers able to bring tangible value, innovation and competitive advantage for our business and support L'Oréal for the Future KPI targets

    Lead supplier evaluation based on all operations managed by Suppliers inc. formal evaluation of the total performance (price, quality, innovation, service and sustainability) as well as managing PSL. 

    Propose innovative and creative approach to our stakeholders such as new models, new organization, transformation and simplification (more than simply cost cutting)

    Accountable for the Budget process for category, identify the initiatives, evaluate the savings in agreement with Finance and fulfil all associated documentation / reporting via L'Oréal platforms

    Influence Budget and Trend evaluation and be accountable in identifying risks and opportunities of the current projects or initiatives, in agreement with Finance & Business Partners 

You have

    Excellent communication skills – written and verbal - as well as enthusiasm and passion for working in a team and with multiple stakeholders across the business.

    Excellent influencing skills – you will be required to demonstrate thought leadership as well as drive to execution.

    Ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally

    Experience in managing complexity within a fast-paced sales / retail environment.

    Excellent presentation skills with attention to detail for creating sound commercial arguments.
