Form of workI am delighted to be working in partnership with an ambitious and successful, international manufacturing company as they look to recruit a Senior Buyer to join the procurement team.
The position of Senior Buyer is a great all-round procurement role, working within an international engineering company, maintaining, and developing relationships with global suppliers.
As the Senior Buyer and reporting to the Procurement Manager, the key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a supply base that meets the company goals in terms of quality, cost, and performance.
- Develop robust relationships with new and existing suppliers, both within the UK and globally.
- To undertake negotiations.
- Develop and maintain a vendor management system
- To work towards the company goals and targets.
You may have worked as a Senior Buyer or be a Buyer looking for the next step. You should be a confident and able negotiator with good commercial acumen. Excellent communication skills are essential. Ideally you will have experience within Engineering / Manufacturing / Industrial sectors. It would be advantageous to have MCIPS or be working towards obtaining MCIPS.
