A highly reputable and established non-for-profit organisation with an empowering and supportive culture. CIPS study support is available both from a time and financial perspective. Based outside of Ipswich, there is a permanent hybrid working pattern in place with the need to be in the office just 2 days per week and start/finish times to suit.
Your new role
This is a newly created role which offers strong personal and career development. With a defined succession plan in place, the expectation is for this role to grow in terms of remit and profile with scope to progress into Procurement Manager / Head of over a defined time period. With high levels of support and buy-in from stakeholders, this role will work closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure a professional and knowledgeable service across all procurement activities. There is an opportunity to shape the role to suit a candidate\'s experience with a broad range of procurement projects underway and in the pipeline. As well as having responsibility for your own procurement projects, you will also manage the e-procurement systems and manage the e-tender portal. In addition, you will ensure that spend data is collated and analysed with recommendations made to stakeholders as part of a collaborative approach.
What you\'ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable procurement experience in either a commercial or public sector setting and be able to provide tangible evidence of supporting or managing end to end tender processes. A willingness to study CIPS is a pre-requisite with any CIPS study undertaken already beneficial but not essential. With experience of using procurement systems, you will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills and be able to demonstrate a positive, self-motivated and logical approach to your work.
