Senior Cad Technician

We are recruiting for a Senior CAD Technician at Navitas

The Senior CAD Technician will work as an integral part of the design and engineering team to deliver outputs such as layout drawings, single line drawings, circuit layouts, detailed schematics, process flowcharts and other electrical design deliverables.

The role involves management and administration of CAD-related IT resources, including software requirements as well as management of the overall CAD workstream.

As a Senior CAD Technician at Navitas Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in our design and engineering team, contributing to the delivery of a wide range of technical drawings and design deliverables. Your responsibilities will include producing high-quality and accurate technical designs in disciplines such as layout drawings, single-line drawings, circuit diagrams, detailed schematics, and process flowcharts. Additionally, you'll be responsible for managing and administering CAD-related IT resources, ensuring efficient workflow and project delivery. Collaborating with other CAD technicians and the wider design team, you'll optimise workflows, implement CAD standards, and support coordination of design outputs to maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance.

About you…. (what you are skilled at)

We're seeking a candidate with extensive CAD experience in electrical design disciplines, ideally with a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical designs and drawings. Proficiency in Microstation, ProjectWise, and BIM software is essential, along with the ability to optimise their use to enhance workflow efficiency and design quality. Railway electrification design familiarity would be advantageous. You should possess strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your adaptability and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance with CAD standards and regulations will be key to your success in this role.
