Senior Cardiac Physiologist | KIMS Hospital Maidstone

Full Time Permanent | Competitive, in line with the Agenda for Change

Are you a qualified Cardiac Physiologist? Do you have experience carrying out Echo’s and working in a Cath Lab? Are you passionate about developing your career your way?

Due to a growth in service, we have an exciting opportunity an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our busy Cardiology team as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist. You will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary Cardiology team, liaising with Consultant Cardiologists in the provision of a full range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations and procedures in both and inpatient and outpatient setting.

Your working hours will be 37.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday. Shifts will be split 50/50 between Cardiology and the Cath Lab.

Role Responsibilities include:

As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist you will:

  • Contribute to the provision of both inpatient and outpatient services within the cardiac interventional suite including Angiography, PCI’s, Pacing and EP.
  • Carry out a full range of outpatient Cardiac Investigations including ECG, Stress Tests, TILT Test and Echocardiograms.
  • Support the Lead Interventional Suite Physiologist and the Lead Cardiorespiratory Physiologist in managing the day-to-day delivery of services in the Cardiology department.
  • Review the allocation of staff within cardiorespiratory and Cath Lab to cover outpatient diagnostic tests and inpatient requirements in conjunction with the Lead Physiologists.
  • Contribute to the training and development of staff in the cardiology department, and in other areas where appropriate.
  • Maintain your own continued professional development.

Person Specification:

Essential

  • Be a qualified Physiologist (BSc or equivalent).
  • Have post qualification experience working within a Cardiac Interventional Suite and an Outpatient Cardiology department assisting with the provision of a full range of cardiac investigative procedures.
  • Be able to evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
  • Display excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Desirable

  • Post qualification BSE accreditation
  • Have experience in EP.
  • Have practical experience in change management.
