We are looking for a key player in our Caf?? team at Edinburgh Leisure!
As a Senior Catering Assistant, you'll be the face of our cafes, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all customers. This hands-on position involves providing crucial support to our 4 Caf?? Refresh locations, covering annual leave, sickness, last-minute shifts, and special events . The role requires flexibility as it spans both the front and back of the house, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment. While shifts are generally planned in advance, occasional adjustments may be necessary.
You will be responsible for :
- Providing excellent customer service while taking orders , serving customers, processing sales and operating tills.
- Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, as well as food items such as soups, paninis, hot breakfasts, pizzas, and sandwiches.
- Assisting in monitoring and restocking supplies, such as food ingredients, utensils, and cleaning materials, to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Responding to and resolving customer enquiries, complaints, and comments.
- Support ing the Team Leader by effectively managing Catering Assistants, while setting an example of high performance and positive teamwork.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene certificate and barista training .
- UK Driving licence along with access to a vehicle.
- Previous hospitality experience demonstrating exceptional customer service.
- Experience in basic food preparation and food assembly to comply with Food Safety & HACPP.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the a bility to engage and connect with a varied customer base.
- Proven ability to lead by example and motivate team members.
