Job Description
The Injured Jockeys Fund rehabilitation centre at Peter O’Sullevan House, Newmarket, is seeking a friendly and professional Senior Centre Administrator to join our small dynamic team. You will become an integral part of the day-to-day running of the Centre, providing valuable administrative and operational support to the wider IJF team.
Salary & Hours: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum depending on experience, 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Overall purpose of the role:
- To generate a warm welcome and create a first-class impression to all who visit or call POH.
- To support the General Manager and wider team with the effective day to day running of POH site, ensuring that high standards are maintained throughout.
- To assist in the day to day running of the clinical appointment systems and clinical areas.
- To assist in the management of health & safety and contractors at POH.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Receive visitors and clients on site and via the telephone in a friendly and polite manner.
- Deal with and direct IJF general enquiries.
- Make clinical appointments, record, and manage the diary system.
- Handle all patient data in a timely manner and in accordance with GDPR.
- Support the clinical team with the management of the hydrotherapy pool, if required.
- Take payments and deal with small financial issues in accordance with SOP’s.
- Undertake general administrative and operational tasks to support the clinical and wider POH team.
- Help maintain standards in reception area, waiting lounges, and clinical area.
- Manage room bookings and set up rooms.
- Assist and support beneficiary events, as required.
- Attend team meetings.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety, first aid, statutory inspections and risk assessment requirements are properly established, monitored, recorded and actioned.
- Oversee and manage all external suppliers, contractors, and facilities staff as necessary, ensuring that maintenance contracts and planned maintenance are up to date.
- Work within all Injured Jockey Fund policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
