The programme aims to provide intensive support services for children and their families., , The focus of the programme is on promoting language, cognitive, social and emotional skills, physical development and the early identification of high needs. , • Lead and facilitate planning meetings with the childcare team to ensure all activities are age/stage appropriate and cover all areas of children’s development
, • Develop weekly staff rotas relating to settings and children’s routines allocating staff accordingly
, • Support the termly transition sessions for the children and parents who are due to attend the childcare setting
, • To liaise with parents and other professionals around the child’s care plan, development and wellbeing.
, • To participate in training related to the role, understanding the need to attend training outside of core and service hours if necessary. Be responsible for own CPD opportunities.
, • To maintain confidentiality relating to the children/families and service.
, • Holidays have to be taken during the school holidays.
, • Be an allocated Key Worker to a small group of children, ensuring all assessments relating to their development are implemented and the individual needs of the children are met
, • Work within, and ensure CIW standards for Regulated Childcare are maintained
, • Maintain a flexible approach to work – understanding the need to work from a variety of childcare settings when the need arises and provide support to the wider childcare and Flying Start project
, • To liaise with Flying Start and Project staff maintaining a professional working alliance with other agencies who share public protection responsibilities.
, • Ensure compliance with the Council’s Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures
, • To implement the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties
, • To adhere to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and procedures and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts / omissions.

, • To report without delay any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate safeguarding officer.
