Senior Civil Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer, to join the London office of an employee owned multi-disciplinary civil engineering consultancy, who work closely with their clients to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions.

This new permanent role, in their London-based Infrastructure team, consisting of drainage, highways and development infrastructure specialists, will support their expanding client base of predominantly large residential developers.

The consultancy delivers a broad range of infrastructure projects, from initial feasibility stage, through planning and detail design, to the construction stage. Typically, their projects range from around 50 units, up to several thousand dwellings.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day project management and leaad the design of multiple schemes across a range of clients. You will also guide and support junior members of the team, delegate and check work, ensuring deadlines are met and that deliverables remain at a high-quality bar. You will develop concept and detailed drainage strategies and produce planning documents such as flood risk assessments and drainage technical notes and utilities statements. You will also undertake due dilligence reviews to support the purchase of land.

This role will suit you well if you have around four to six years of experience. This will ideally cover pre-planning and planning stage development, as well as a good understanding of detail design and technical approval (Sections 104, 38, 278). You will be skilled in MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, as well as having an understanding of Civil 3D. You will also possess a sound technical ability and excellent communication skills.
