Department Overview
Verlingue have established Client Services teams in Manchester. Currently the CBU team work with premium of up to £10,000 & generally with two preferred Providers. The volume of business is rising rapidly and career opportunities within Manchester and in the wider Verlingue group are excellent should individuals demonstrate the required skills and success in their role.

General Responsibilities:
- Maintaining relationship, interaction and liaising with insurers on day-to-day basis
- Maintaining relationship, interaction and liaising with insurers on day-to-day basis
- Processing MTA’s and administration
- Ensuring all communications, documents, invoices are issued in a compliant way in line with company Policies & Procedures and full utilisation of Acturis
- To answer the telephone, ensuring that information given is accurately recorded
- To update knowledge of insurance market as & when developments occur
- To continue improvement in technical insurance knowledge. A minimum of Cert CII will be required within 12 months of employment
- To liaise with accounts department as and when required
New Business
- Broking clients under £10k premium (or passing to Corporate) and Scheme / Facility business
- Invoicing
- Policy wordings – checking correct and suitable for client demands, needs and cover requirements
- Risk Register production
- Premium Finance administration (Surrey only)
Renewal Business
- Updating records with any changes to client demands, needs, cover requirements, Fact Finds and underwriting information.
- Production of initial draft Broking presentation for Broker.
- Pipeline register completion
- Obtaining terms from holding insurers
- Renewal Report production
- Invoicing
- Premium finance negotiation and administration
- Risk Register production
- Policy wordings – ensuring correct and suitable for client demands, needs and cover requirements
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Essential: Cert CII
- Desirable: Dip CII
Skills, Knowledge & Attributes
Essential:
- Considerable experience in the insurance industry preferably with the Commercial Client Servicing experience
- Good working knowledge of the Acturis system
- Good working knowledge of on-line broking systems
- Good working knowledge of General Commercial Lines business and the Broking market
- A willingness to pursue professional qualifications
- A Can-do attitude with good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent and accurate administration
- Ability to utilise IT for maximum advantage
- Drive to achieve results, solve problems and deliver service and ability to work to deadlines
- Good relationship building and influencing skills
