If you’re an experienced CNC Turner seeking a fresh opportunity in Pontefract, look no further! Our client is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Senior CNC Turner to join their team as a key player, operating on rotating shifts (06:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 22:00, 22:00 – 06:00).
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently program, set up, and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls to produce precise components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Assist in ensuring smooth shop floor operations.
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments for optimal efficiency.
- Perform basic inspections of finished products to maintain quality standards.
- Provide guidance to junior machinists within the team.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work environment.
Requirements:
- Ideally, possess time-served credentials; significant demonstrated experience as a CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator is acceptable if not.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with CAM software is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
