Our Commercial and Procurement Team leads activity across the Council focusing on large infrastructure projects. This role requires includes work on the Councils strategic projects, with a particular focus on commercial thinking.
What we're looking for
Candidates will need a minimum of 18 months' experience in Public Sector procurement and advanced knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
Ideally candidates will be MCIPS qualified or be working towards MCIPS.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a team approach and an ability to stay calm under pressure. You will be required to manage demanding and competing priorities, and working to tight deadlines. We need you to take personal responsibility for contributing to organisational transformation and changes in ways of working and to contribute to the development of individuals by coaching, mentoring and motivating staff where appropriate.
