My client based near Caerphilly are seeking a SeniorCommercial Finance and Business Analyst to join their well-established successful business in the manufacturing industry.

As a Commercial Finance & Business Analyst, you'll be instrumental in providing key commercial and analytical insight to the organisation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Main responsibilities can be split into four categories: Costing, Pricing (Commercial), Business Analytics and FP&A.
• Costing responsibilities include overseeing month end cost accounting tasks.
• Pricing responsibilities including incorporating costing, financial forecast and ROIC models to help determine pricing strategy alongside sales management and directors.
• Lead on commercial control ensuring that sales pricing reflects costs incurred, business pricing strategy and are in line with agreed best practise policies.
• FP&A responsibilities include leading annual budget production (and budget revisions when required) as well working alongside various departments to produce and maintain a six-month rolling financial forecast.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis including ROIC analysis on potential investment opportunities and provide recommendations to management grounded on the outcome of all business and financial analytics.
• Assist with the production of monthly financial reporting and consolidation and provide commentary to be included in the monthly reports.

What you will require to be successful:

• Commercial understanding of key business drivers and financially astute.
• Highly proficient MS Excel user with financial modelling experience a must.
• Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Power BI a strong bonus.
• Previous data, analytics, and Business insight experience and/or industry experience a bonus.

• The ability to understand financial information including business accounting profit and loss/balance sheets.
