Senior Communications Consultant Change (11 Month Secondment/Ftc)

The Senior Consultant is a member of the Group Internal Communications team, with responsibility for contributing to and leading global internal communications plans, projects, policies and campaigns that directly support HSBC’s strategy, purpose and transformation agenda. They will work as part of an integrated, flexible team that uses Agile and traditional working methods to support a wide range of Group programmes and initiatives.

In this role you will:

 •    Contribute to the development of global internal communications narratives and lead on the planning and delivery of global campaigns, including key messages, collateral and measurement.
•    Contribute to global channel strategy and roadmap including development of innovative new internal communications products, techniques and channels.
•    Develop the strategy and management of global communications channels including digital workplace internal social media) as well as leader and manager communications.  
•    Work collaboratively with colleagues across the entire Global Communications function, particularly Group Reputation and Global Business communications teams, to ensure seamless delivery of priority programmes.
•    Support, coach and develop employee communications practitioners to deliver consistent and high-quality communications in line with strategic goals.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Able to understand business issues and devise communication solutions that deliver results, constructing fresh approaches where appropriate and making connections to other issues.
•    Able to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritise and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues.
•    A proven track record in developing, managing and implementing employee communication plans, translating into solid and practical delivery programmes with outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives across regional/global geographies.
•    Proven experience of communication and engagement trends and best practice.

This role is based in London.
