Senior Compliance Analyst / London / Hybrid
A leading international law and professional services firm are seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst to join their Compliance team, and support their Professional Services division.
The role is principally focused on anti-money laundering, counter terrorist financing and sanctions compliance for new entities.
The Senior Compliance Analyst will cover corporate, fiduciary and compliance service lines.
Role and responsibilities of the Senior Compliance Analyst:
- Responsible for identifying and verifying new entities
- Assess AML/CTF and sanctions risks and determine applicable Customer Due Diligence ("CDD") requirements
- Collect and review relevant CDD material
- Provide practical and prompt advice and assistance to fee-earners
- Conduct screening to identify politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions issues and other regulatory and reputational risks
- Conduct and review risk assessments
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure that the firm's AML/CTF obligations are met
- Assist with updating and maintaining compliance-related documentation
- Assist the Compliance Manager and Head of Business Acceptance with local, regional and global compliance projects
Required skills and experience of the Senior Compliance Analyst:
- Experience in an international compliance function role
- Experience on AML and other financial crime
- Preferably experience in a law firm environment or financial services sector
- £45k - £55k Depending on experience
