Senior Contracts And Commissioning Lawyer

We are working with a Local Authority in the Kent region looking for a Senior Contracts and Commissioning Lawyer to join their department on an initial 3-month basis.

The successful candidate must be UK qualified and have upwards of 12 months’ experience in:

• Commercial contracts
• Commissioning law
• Public procurement

Expertise in dealing with a wide range of contracts including:

• NEC and general building contracts, contracts for goods and services, contractual disputes, JCT building Contracts and public procurement issues
• Advising at committees and member briefings on all aspects of Contracts and Commissioning law & procedures

You will need to have experience of handling your own legal caseload which will include complex matters.

Pay rate is between £45-55 per hour.

The local authority is looking for a candidate to start on a full-time basis as soon as possible. Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are looking to speak to candidates available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice. Previous Contracts and Commission law legal experience is essential.
