This full-time Senior Cost Engineer role is based in Warwick and offers an excellent contract rate of £46.09/hr Umbrella. The role will involve hybrid working.As a Senior Cost Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on specific vehicle commodities associated with one of several teams: (principally Purchasing, Product Engineering, Advanced Product Creation, and other finance functions).In your first few weeks in this Senior Cost Engineer role, you can expect to:Deliver robust, detailed and directional Should Costs (estimates)Lead initiatives to identify commodity cost-saving opportunities within the JLR supply chainLead commercial and technical negotiations to deliver cost gap closureParticipate in the process of supplier selection and supplier strategy planningAdvise Product Engineering on design and change cost impactTo apply for this Senior Cost Engineer role, you will need:Knowledge of any commodities of a vehicle (Body, Powertrain, Chassis, Electrification, Electronic, EDS), Key cost drivers, raw materials, manufacturing processes etc.Cost Engineer and/or Project Management Support experience (must have engineering/manufacturing background)Business and financial acumen, and excellent cost-estimating skills, preferably on at least one commodityGood computer literacy, mainly MS ExcelEffective communication, presentation and negotiation skillsPlease contact our team today to apply and register your interest in this contract Senior Cost Engineer position in Warwick.
