As a Senior Cost Estimator, your primary focus is to deliver reliable cost advice and analysis crucial for key business decisions. This involves developing and maintaining clear documentation outlining the basis of estimates, while also conducting rigorous reviews to assure quality and accuracy. You will provide essential support in estimating for risk assessments and mitigation actions, ensuring that potential financial uncertainties are adequately addressed.
Key accountabilities:
- Implement best practice estimating policy, processes and procedures on projects.
- Provide cost estimates and cost plans within levels of certainty, provisioning effective monitoring, forecasting and control of financial limits
- Assist value engineering assessments and evaluation as part of the project process.
- Provide estimating input to performance reporting, risk and change assessments.
- Produce estimating deliverables in accordance with the appropriate procedures and guidelines
- Review estimate bases including the supporting project controls, supply chain and technical artefacts
Key requirements
- Solid 10 to 15 years experience
- Defence background
- Cost Planning experience
