Job Description:
Senior CSA Engineer responsible for all CSA activities on all types of projects, including, preparation of, or review of specifications, standards, procedures, reports, sub-contract scope of works, planning, scheduling, progress reporting, supervision, geotechnical and site survey works, site preparation, design of steel and concrete structures, U/G services, and foundations, etc. on process plants.
Position suits an engineer with strong technical experience, ideally in all three Civil, Structural and Architectural specialties and a full understanding/experience of the various scopes of projects of all phases.

Internally: Functional Managers,all engineering disciplines (such as Technology, Process, Engineering Design) and all non-engineering disciplines (such as project controls, planning, procurement, construction)
Externally: clients, subcontractors, vendors, partners, authorities, licensors.
Job scope:
- Prepare and check engineering procedures and standards.
- Proficient in as a minimum preparing and checking of.
- Discipline basis of design
- Discipline Specifications
- data sheets,
- requisitions,
- preparing input for Class 3 and 2 estimates
- technical bid evaluations,
- detailed mechanical drawings.
- Provide technical recommendations on the selection of equipment to meet Project requirements.
- Check and review vendor proposals, documentation and drawings.
- Participate in project, client and vendor meetings.
- Provide Input to Construction Sub-contract and evaluate bids
- Be prepared to travel in the UK and overseas for meetings, equipment testing and site technical support to meet Project requirements.
Typical background and experience required:
Must have:
- Typically, has a HNC or degree in design/engineering with minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in a design engineering and plant design work environment.
- CSA engineering and design leadership experience of both small and large FEED/EPC projects.
- Experience of leading multi-office projects.
- Experienced engineer in all aspects of Civil/Struct Engineering in the Petrochemical and or Refinery industry.
- Strong hands-on experience of all aspects of civil and structural design works to UK, American and European codes and be familiar with developing Specifications and Standards, progress reporting and supervising CSA teams.
- Understanding & technical participation in constructability reviews and design reviews (Layout fix, 30%, 60% & 90%).
- Experienced in production of 3D models with Tekla
- Experienced in performing material take-off either from model or from general arrangements.
