The role
Our SeniorCustomer Excellence Manager – Specialist Eventswill prioritise self-catered events, multi-cultural functions and special corporate events while leading the Weddings & Events Team driving revenue generation through strategic Commercial sales tactics. The role reports directly to the Head of Customer Excellence and is part of a team based from our Commercial Hub in Rugby - Northampton (NN6 7XR).
This role will include some travel across the estate and to business functions.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Managing and coaching the Weddings & Events Team.
- Drive Team performance and delivery of Wedding & Events KPI’s
- Being an integral part of our high performing Commercial team
- Provide Team with Commercial focuses and strategies across Portfolio
- Analyse and make profitable decisions using data
- Create profitable packages across Portfolio for Wedding segments, i.e Multi-cultural, Traditional, Bespoke
- Ensuring enquiries are dealt with in line with the hotel’s selling strategy and following company and brand standards
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders; external caterers, partners and colleagues
- Prioritising delivery of exceptional customer experiences in person, on the phone and via email
- Achieving high conversion rates in all sales
- Being fully conversant with all facilities, services, packages and special promotions offered by the hotels and use this information to maximise hotel sales
- Attending Wedding Fayres and Exhibitions to promote the Company Portfolio
- Working with Third Party Website and ensuring content and packages are up to date

What you’ll bring to the team
An ideal candidate would be a Commercially driven, passionate about weddings and events, specialising in self-catered events, multi-cultural functions and special corporate events, i.e. annual dinners, charity events and associations. You’ll have demonstrable experience in achieving high enquiry to conversion results on every interaction with strong negotiation skills to maximise revenue generation and budget delivery. You’ll need confidence and the ability to communicate effectively both face-to-face and via email or phone. Self-driven and able to proactively initiate connections and leads. You will be an experienced and strong Team manager who strives to coach and develop your team to maximise Revenue potential and Customer excellence.
Awareness of the local and national markets and the ability to share this knowledge with the wider Commercial team is highly desired.
Previous experience of managing and coaching a Team is essential!
