Senior Data Analyst

Working Arrangement: 2-3 day in office, hybrid

Salary: 55-65k + discretionary bonus and various benefits

One of the UK’s leading providers of pension consultancy and wealth management services based is currently undergoing a transformation to build a robust in-house analytics team to handle the integration, data modelling, prediction, and inference of all our data analytics, information, and systems.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:

A key to the role will be managing and delivering automation across the Finance team, by using automation, finance, and analytic systems. You will be expected to retrieve and build strong data models, manage current models, and assist in automating workflows to drive operational performance.

In addition, the successful candidate will also be required to use data to analyse and drive growth across the business. You will play a pivotal role in leveraging data-driven insights to support strategic financial decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS:

• qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• strong experience delivering finance transformation using data and systems
• highly proficient in ERP Dynamics 365 (Business Central)
• desirable experience in CCH Tagetik
• exceptional financial modelling, Excel and analytical skills
• proficient coding ability including SQL, DAX and working knowledge of Azure Pipelines
• highly diligent with an eye for detail and impeccable presentational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Data Analyst role within the Finance team, you will act as a strategic influencer. The successful applicant will produce consistent and consolidated data models whilst delivering data driven insights to the group, to drive impactful decisions and enhance the overall financial health of the organisation.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy for all finance processes
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse workflows, identify automation, and establish a roadmap for continuous process improvement
• monitor the effectiveness of automated processes, troubleshooting issues, and implement enhancements
• provide training and support to finance team members on the use of automation tools
• collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to maintain a robust and stable data model that supports financial reporting and analysis
• conduct regular audits of finance systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• implement data governance policies to maintain the quality and security of financial data
• utilise advanced data analysis techniques to explore financial data, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
• use expert financial modelling and accounting knowledge to create accurate and insightful financial forecasts and models
• conduct thorough financial and data analyses to support strategic decision-making, presenting findings in a clear and actionable format
• collaborate with finance and business teams to understand their data requirements and provide customised analyses to meet their needs
• drive data exploration initiatives, uncovering opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and overall financial optimisation
