Work Pattern - Hybrid with 2 days in the office per week
Summary
We have 2 new roles for Data Analysts with modelling skills / experience based in Manchester and working on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in the office.
These roles would suit someone with a keen desire for problem solving whilst working with social, economic, and environmental impacts. In these roles you will:
- Build Data Models and conduct in depth analysis
- Assurance of models and promotion best practice
- Analysis of socio-economic trends and feedback to planning teams.
As an organisation they are continuously aiming to develop and progress their operations, and data is at the heart of this ideology, they are therefore looking to grow their Analytics team further.
The positions are based in the City Centre, close to all major transport links.
Your responsibilities / accountabilities in this role will be:
This role requires a range of analytical techniques: from acquiring and storing spatially enabled data on contemporary data analytics platforms; to undertaking geo-spatial data analytics and statistical analysis; through to exploring problems, appraising options and providing objective advice.
- Manage the delivery of work projects to meet customer needs and expectations, adapting and amending work scope or timelines where required, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Undertake strategic analysis, selecting relevant information and applying specialist techniques to identify themes to be used in the development of strategy and policy, or technical designs.
- Statistical modelling and bespoke analysis
- Design and Development of Data Models
- Design and develop spreadsheets, databases, and scripts for modelling.
- Apply various approaches of using data to gain quantitative insight on user behaviour.
- Utilise different techniques for forecasting future trends.
- Analysis of diverse and datasets in relation to longitudinal datasets including statistical and trend analysis.
Requirements
This requires a range of analytical techniques: from acquiring and storing spatially enabled data on contemporary data analytics platforms; to undertaking geo-spatial data analytics and statistical analysis; through to exploring problems, appraising options and providing objective advice.
- SQL / Python
- Experience of Data Modelling
- PowerBI - Or a related visualisation tool
- GIS tools / Geo Spatial Data Analysis would be highly advantageous.
