Join this globally revered luxury retailer, who have spent a number of years investing a huge amount into data and CRM personalization. This is underpinned by data science from the top down, across all layers of the company, driven by this centralised, global Data Science function.

The team is led by a group of inspirational Directors, whose ongoing ambition is to improve customer experience and overall business performance through the use of data science and advanced analytics across in store and digital channels

As a Senior Data Scientist you will deliver data science projects around things like customer LTV, churn analysis, CRM, building recommendation engines, productionising ML models and solutions to drive improved customer understanding, loyalty, and personalisation, doing lots of optimisation and using techniques such as causal inference and linear regression. Additionally, working as part of the global Centre of Excellent for data science, you will help the regional teams to sharpen their skills, setting the standard.

The culture and pace is ferocious, so the ability to adapt to various stakeholder requests, and perform to a high level within a typical retail trading environment is key.

Experience required:

·Educated to at least degree level in a numerate subject such as engineering, mathematics, statistics, chemistry, physics, machine learning, computer science etc.

·A background in leveraging hands on skills using tools such as Python, R, Spark, Hadoop, SQL and cloud based platforms such as GCP, Azure and AWS to manipulate and analyse various data sets in large volumes

·Background in data science from ideally a retail, consulting or blue chip background

·Experience in the application of data science within marketing, CRM and a customer context

·Confident and strong presentation skills; ability to bring data to life for senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders

·Thrives in a pacey and high performing environment

·Strong team collaboration skills, able to work in a dynamic and solutions focused environment
