Job Description


We are looking for a passionate person to join our energetic and growing Advice Service Team that supports over 3000 service users a year by providing them with advice and linking them in with services within the community.

we are FCA registered and meet the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) governed by the Solicitors' code.

As Senior Debt Advisor you will:

  • Provide debt advice to service users and refer them onto relevant support systems.
  • Provide an adaptable approach for service users by providing contact with them via face-to-face meetings, email, phone calls, etc...
  • Work collaboratively with the team and internal teams at Community Links, and supervise staff and volunteers.
  • Provide training for clients and keep them informed of relevant ways they can improve their understanding of debt management.
  • Manage a case load of service users and ensure that all records are up-to-date.

Qualifications


Candidates must have:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant advice/ advocacy qualification.
  • Understanding of the voluntary sector and, in particular, knowledge of the strategic and policy environment in which the advice sector operates.
  • Volunteer management (recruiting, onboarding and day-to-day management).

Additional Information


Salary:
£35,000 per annum
Hours of work: Full time, 38 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term until January 31st 2025.


  • This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS and MoJ checks.
  • This is a community-based role, with travel across various delivery and training sites across London.

  • 1 or 2 work from home days can be granted as part of these roles for admin purposes however, not contractually obliged but part of our wellbeing support.
