About the Role:
- Lead the development and execution of the Defence Sector sales strategy, with ambitious targets to double current sales
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across the defence industry, including government agencies, military organisations, and defence contractors
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as technical experts and project managers, to develop bespoke solutions that meet the unique needs of defence clients
- Spearhead sales presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions, securing successful outcomes and fostering long-term partnerships
- Stay ahead of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing valuable insights and recommendations to senior management
- Monitor and track sales performance, generating regular reports and forecasts to inform strategic decision-making
- Represent your client at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events, promoting their capabilities and building new connections
- Degree-level qualification
- A proven track record of success in business development within a technology solutions organisation, achieving significant sales growth
- In-depth knowledge of the Defence Sector, including a clear understanding of defence procurement processes, regulations, and market dynamics
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect effectively with key stakeholders across diverse backgrounds
