Senior Demand Planner

Fixed Term Contract / SECONDMENT (OCTOBER 2024)

You will


The Senior Demand Planner will be the key pillar and point of contact across key stakeholder functions. 


You will shape the future of Demand Planning and the S&OP Process, lead and develop the Demand Planning Team and drive improvements to customer experience, simplicity/pulse indexes and sharing beauty with all initiatives.


    Lead and develop the sales forecast process for your division, ensuring best practice, audit compliance, stakeholder engagement and the needs of the business are met

    Validation meeting chair and lead the monthly forecast/financial trend alignment meeting with Managing Director, Finance Director and Supply Chain Director.

    Recruit for, develop and lead a team of Demand Planners

    Define a 3 year vision for Demand Planning team within your division, establishing a roadmap on how to get there with timings. 

    Drive team and influence the wider division/L’Oréal community towards achieving vision, monitor and update stakeholders regularly on progress.

    Lead team, ensuring targets are met on Forecast Accuracy and Bias, SKU count (Finished Goods and POS), Stock £ and Excess and Obsoletes £. Ensure root cause is understood, action plans are in place and the business is mobilized where brands are not at target. Pro-actively flag and manage risks.

    Act as an ambassador for supply chain within the division, supporting activities to enhance customer experience, improve simplicity/pulse indexes and drive sharing beauty with all initiatives


You have:


    Ability to engage and positively influence internal & external stakeholders.  Ability to manage upwards.

    Experience in S&OP planning. Experience in demand planning is an advantage

    Strong understanding of the building blocks and trends that influence the construction of a sales forecast

    Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, and simplify complex messages.  

    Excellent working knowledge of Excel. FuturMaster and SAP are an advantage

    Experience in demand or business planning systems an advantage
