Job Title: Senior Design Engineer OHL
Location: Cambuslang
Salary: £47,880 - £59,850

Our SP Energy Networks business is responsible for the distribution of electricity to your property via our network of pylons, substations, cables and power lines. We serve 3.5 million homes and businesses across Central & Southern Scotland, Cheshire, Merseyside, North Shropshire and North Wales.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Overhead Line (OHL) Engineering Group Head and Project Teams, responsible for developing and delivering engineering solutions from feasibility to detailed engineering design for transmission networks projects (132kV and above).
Responsible for projects of greater value and complexity within the portfolio whilst managing/supervising and developing less experienced staff within the department or project team. This will include providing the necessary basic and detailed engineering specifications and designs for projects, innovation, effective technical support, advice, coaching and input throughout the lifecycle of a portfolio of projects.

Engineering degree or HND/HNC with 5 years equivalent experienceProven significant experience in delivering engineering solutions and designs for high value and complex transmission OHL projectsCommunicate with and influence senior managersWriting clear and concise reports and documents covering technical subjects
