Senior Designer Home Textiles

A small design studio that dedicates time to original hand painted and hand drawn design. Work on a variety of customer briefs and customer accounts in this newly created role.

THE COMPANY

A home textile brand stocked online, in high-street stores, and independents. Work with a range of fabulous textile products in a growing studio space led by a Head of Design highly regarded in the industry. Free on-site parking, career progression plans, opportunities to work on a variety of customer briefs and customer accounts, international travel to visit manufacturing facilities, complete comp shop, and trend trips. THE ROLE

• As part of the wider Design team, you will be responsible for designing all-over-prints, graphics, and illustrations for the home textile range across a range of art styles but with particular emphasis on hand painting
• Working on a diverse range of products across Bedroom, Living Room, Kitchen, and Bathroom textiles.
• Attending trade fairs in the EU and overseas
• Completing comp shopping trips
• Creating your own designs and technical packs for suppliers and factories
• Market and Trend analysis, developing trend packs and design work to target trends for each customer profile
• Managing multiple projects from initial brief through to sampling alongside the Buying team
• Working with suppliers in the UK, EU, and Far East

ABOUT YOU

Demonstrable experience in a print / pattern design role with good examples of hand-painting in portfolio. This would ideally be in Home Textiles but could also be in wallpaper, stationery, or other surface pattern products. The role can be flexed and accounts swopped depending on experience whether you’re a growing Designer or an experienced veteran. Due to their location, you must have a driving licence and access to a car.
