Are you an experienced Desktop Support Engineer seeking a new challenge? Our Client is a market-leading financial services organisation that is growing rapidly through business acquisition that is looking to hire a Sr. Desktop Support Engineer to be part of its shared services IT team responsible for supporting its 10,000 users globally.
Located from our Client’s corporate headquarters in the City of London you will be responsible for picking up on escalation from the Service Desk and providing deskside support to user troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across both Windows and Mac platforms. This on-site, front-facing position demands not only strong technical proficiency but also exceptional interpersonal skills, as you will be the face and representative of IT.

Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line Desktop Support and remote assistance to 10,000+ global office users.
- Deliver executive support to senior management and VVIPs.
- Manage tickets through ITSM for efficient incident tracking.
- Assist in resolving complex or reoccurring issues and support the Desktop Team Lead.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Act as a point of contact for large-scale escalations, collaborating with relevant teams.
- Support mobile devices (Apple & Android), Active Directory Users administration, Windows 10-11, and MAC OS X.
- Participate in ad-hoc support requests, desk moves, and ensure Bytes Bar coverage.
- Manage Desktop team resources for optimal coverage during core business hours.
- Act as a Major Incident owner, following documented processes for timely resolution.
Requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in conveying technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and Apple mobile devices.
- Strong background in Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365/2016+.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools: Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Zoom, WhatsApp, Cisco WebEx, Condeco, and Crestron technology.
- Expertise in cloud-based technologies: Microsoft Teams, Intune, Autopilot.
- Proficient in email security solutions, such as Mimecast.
- Knowledgeable of ITIL or preferably possess ITIL Foundation V3/V4
Location: City of London, London
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 per annum (Negotiable on experience)
