Job Title: Key Account Manager
Location:Manchester or Birmingham
Salary: Up to £65,000pa, plus car and bonus
Reporting to: CEO
We are seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to join our client's team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute individual who thrives on building and nurturing relationships while driving business growth.
What you will be doing?
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Accounts in the logistics, freight, and distribution sectors
- Conduct thorough analysis of client needs and preferences, and propose tailored solutions from our full range of services
- Identify opportunities for business expansion within existing accounts and actively pursue strategies for growth
- Provide value-added services to customers, including reviewing pricing structures and ensuring optimal margins
- Drive revenue growth and maintain healthy gross profit margins within assigned Key Accounts
- Lead and support customer satisfaction initiatives to ensure high levels of client retention and loyalty
- Generate regular reports on customer activity, sales performance, and revenue forecasts
- Implement effective sales strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets
Who we are looking for?
- Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics, freight, or distribution sectors is essential
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Results-driven mindset, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and exceeding targets
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, with a willingness to travel extensively to visit key customers
- Proficiency in generating and analysing sales reports and forecasts
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80% of the time)
