The Opportunity:

The purpose of the role is to lead in the development of the University’s Learning platforms by contributing to the planning & delivery and software used across multiple products and organisational departments. You'll also develop and support other members of the Development team in building industry-leading products using robust architectural practices.
About You:
We would like to hear from applicants who have some of the following skills:
- Excellent knowledge of software development principles, theory and practice
- Significant experience of developing with PHP and JavaScript, employing OO Programming principles and Design Pattern
- Fluent in Agile methodology
- Knowledge of LAMP stack, OSes and automation tools such as BASH / shell scripting, Docker / Docker Compose.
- Experience guiding and mentoring junior team members.
Nice to have but not essential:
- Experience developing plugins for Moodle
- Mobile application development.
