JOB TITLE: Senior DevOps Support Engineer
LOCATION: Halifax, Leeds or Manchester
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking progressive team, actively working in on-prem, private and public clouds. You'll be focusing on the administration of the multi-platform CI/CD solution for containerised applications, as well as a range of DevOps tooling. With responsibility for both technical leadership and technical support, you'll support the design, build and implementation of DevOps solutions based on the needs of the business.
What we need from you…
We'd need you to have a sound experience of CI/CD across various tooling and methodologies.
We'd love you to bring your understanding of DevOps concepts and methodologies, developed through your experiences as a DevOps Engineer (or in a similar software or cloud role) with a focus on service management.
You'll be a passionate technical leader, delivering Engineering Excellence through the delivery of high quality and reliable DevOps solutions. You'll confidently take the lead during service outages to recover services through incident and problem management, ensuring our colleagues and customers receive the most reliable service possible. You're inquisitive and enthusiastic, able to find answers to questions and resolve problems whilst focusing on routine tasks. As a critical thinker, you can work methodically with a high level of attention to detail.
Do you have experience in programming and scripting? Excellent! These skills are vital to this role.
