If you are you passionate about insights & using them to drive eCommerce decision, we are looking for a Digital Analytics specialist to join the team who can align their knowledge of data science & analytics with commercial insights!
This is a rare & exciting opportunity to work side-by-side with our commercial teams on how we get more data-driven and how to harvest the power of our data in new ways. You will be working closely with stakeholders within the LEGO.com team but also outside such as Category Management, Promotions, Forecasting, Data Science, Digital Products etc.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
Core Responsibilities
- Review ongoing performance on LEGO.com based on a combination of metrics & methods to “tell the story” of the main drivers behind results.
- Proactively identify challenges & opportunities. Consider web analytics, behavioural analysis and broader sources of insights, working collaboratively across the business to put actions in place.
- Monitor & identify areas of improvement on the site across the end to end of a shopper journey from browsing through to delivery. Drive a culture of change ensuring concrete recommendations are not only in place to trigger action but acted upon.
- Support significant marketing events, reporting on real time performance & proactively identifying areas for optimisation (e.g. Black/Friday/Cyber Monday)
- Ensure that the data we utilise is accurately reported & partner with A&I Enabling & other data owners to ensure ongoing governance is in place for LEGO.com.
- Partner with commercial & engagement teams (e.g. regional trading, content creation, operations etc.) to optimise the value of our investments (e.g. site changes, product promotions etc.)
- Identify and consistently introduce new ways to measure performance on a granular shopper level.
- Find opportunities to introduce more advanced analytical models (e.g. predictive behavioural models) to understand shoppers throughout their lifecycle and implement them effectively across the organisation.
- Have a continuously improving approach to the way we can adapt to understand our shoppers’ behaviours. Identify future opportunities to partner with Data Science and proactively drive through changes

We have seen significant growth in the past years and the channel plays a critical role in our strategy to build stronger, direct relationships with our consumers and reach them with exciting new offers.
A key enabler to continue growing and delighting our shoppers, will be to truly understand shopper behaviours and inform critical decisions with these insights. As part of the Trading Optimisation team, you will be instrumental in driving a step change in the way we view our shoppers for the future
Do you have what it takes?
- Significant experience turning data into insights and driving decisions within a commercial business. Bias to action, but from a starting point of recognising the complex environment we operate in
- Strong understanding of data structure and the ability to drive meaning from large, unconnected data. For example, the ability to create & analyse segments based on data across various sources to inform behavioural profiling, missing segmentation etc.
- Experience working with Big Data platforms and web analytics. Advanced SQL skills, Adobe/Google Analytics and Power BI/Tableau experience preferred.
- Commercial experience, preferably from an e-commerce insights team or similar would be advantageous.
- The ability to “translate” complex science & models into logic and clear descriptions that makes the outcome understandable.
