Applicants will be required to assist in the delivery of a high quality education and care service to pre 5 children and their families and to work as part of the management team to assist in the effective management of the nursery.

The main duties of the post will include planning and implementation of an appropriate curriculum for children aged 3-5 years, assessment recording and reporting on children's progress; supporting staff in curriculum planning, assessment and observation practices, monitoring the development and implementation of IEPs, developing parental participation, promoting work with other agencies and contributing to the management of the service.

You must hold an HNC Early Education and Childcare/SVQ3 or equivalent as defined by SSSC together with the ability to demonstrate significant post qualifying experience. Knowledge of curriculum for excellence, council policies and procedures and the ability to work flexible to meet the needs of the service is required.

All applicants must be eligible for SSSC registration.

Please note that this post is temporary for 12 months, subject to business needs or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
