A unique opportunity to join a successful ecological consultancy and take a lead role on projects across South England. Our client is a successful, Lancashire based Ecological consultancy has recently seen a rapid uptake of projects across the Midlands and South East. As a result, the need for experienced Senior Ecologists, looking to take a lead position and support on Southern workload is required.
If you are a Senior Ecologist, preferably based around either Reading or Warwick, looking for the opportunity to engage individually on a range of projects, from small holder to major developments, then this could be an ideal opportunity for yo!
This role would be a remote position, requiring regular site visits and the need to work as an individual, although the opportunity to grow a team as workload increases is present.
The Role:
* Complete protected species surveys and ecological appraisals on a range of sites throughout South England.
* BNG Assessments and provision of expert advice to clients.
* Work closely with external clients for business development purposes
* Manage own projects under supervision from Ecology Director
* Work closely with the Landscape Architecture team on collaborative projects
Qualifications / Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Conservation, Ecology, or related subject
* Must have Nat. England Bat Level 1 (Level 2 advantageous)
* Other EPSM licenses are highly desirable.
* Experience writing Bat EPSL’s
* Experience undertaking PEA’s, EcIA’s and Protected Species Surveys
* Confident individually writing full reports.
