Role: Senior Education Administration Manager
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £34 - 36,000
Location: Near Birmingham city centre and home working

We are working on behalf of our client who is seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced Senior Education Administration Manager, with proven work history working in Further Education or Higher Education.
This role will involve working closely with senior academics and colleagues, with a core responsibility for the management and optimisation of administration for all learning, teaching, compliance and quality administrative processes. Although you will be working within a framework, you will have scope to shape and review policies and processes in place and play a pivotal role contributing to strategic discussions.
As the Senior Manager, you will have line management responsibilities for 3 Team Managers and create a positive working culture working environment focused on providing a best-in-class service to all stakeholders.
Experience in Placements or Degree Apprenticeships would be advantageous for this position, whilst proven managerial experience in Further Education or Highr Education is essential.

Role and responsibilities:
- As a Senior Education Administration Manager, you will be responsible for working independently, as well liaising closely with Director, senior academic staff, Heads of departments on the development and implementation of procedures to support change
- Manage education-related administrative processes
- Undertake regular reviews of administrative processes and systems, and consult with internal colleagues on developing and improving them to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Implement and communicate new policies and procedures to internal colleagues to ensure a quality administration service is delivered
- Offer specialist advice on systems, policies and regulations concisely using own knowledge and expertise in this area to ensure administrative compliance
- Maintain an overview of curriculum development and taking responsibility for the integrity of information
- Work with professional services and academic colleagues to support the delivery of change projects, planning and ensuring delivery within set timescales
- Responsible for day-to-day line management of 3 Team Managers mentoring, motivating and creating a positive collaborative team environment through effective training and encouraging professional development opportunities
- Act as ambassador attending Committees and Groups as directed by senior management
- Prepare and present detailed Excel reports and proposals to Directors and stakeholders as required
- Cultivate strong working relationships and ensure a strong focus is always maintained on providing quality administrative support and a positive customer experience
Skills and experience required:
- Proven work history in a people management role within Higher Education or Further Education essential
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Ability to inspire, influence, motivate and effectively organise colleagues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential
- Strong IT skills using Microsoft Office in particular Word and Excel
- Exemplary attention to detail to process data and reports accurately
- Knowledgeable of Placements or Degree Apprenticeships desirable
