AddressOur client is currently recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for leading the design and commissioning of the electrical, instrumentation and control functions of all projects.
Core aspects of this role are - design of all aspects of electrical, instrumentation and control systems on each major project; ensuring design fully reflects P&ID in relation to control philosophy and best economic/ease of operation fit; support with the commissioning and validation process.
Responsibilities
Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure engineering design is to BATNEC and to gas regulation standards
Ensure that all electrical and instrumentation design - reflecting the P&ID is completed in a timeous manner and to appropriate standard
Liaison and provide guidance on technical details of all E, C&I aspects, during the tendering, design scoping process and installation phase with suppliers /contractors.
Complete and regularly review development and training plans for your direct reports to ensure they are up to date on all legal compliance and appropriate skill set.
Ensure your team is supporting the testing and commissioning stages of any given project with the dedicated project engineer
Responsible for supplier validation on electrical/ instrumentation and control performance with dedicated project engineer
Responsible with your team for ensuring the engineering files and library are up to date at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification, Desirable: Masters level in Electrical Engineering
Demonstrates a positive attitude towards continuous improvement and consistent exceptional internal customer service.
Uses personal technical, professional knowledge & experience to resolve problems in the business &/or works with & through others to gain practical, cost-effective solutions.
Good people management/leadership skills.
Allocates/delegates work based on an assessment of task complexity & personal capabilities.
Able to plan & organise own activities & those of direct reports to ensure timely & effective delivery of objectives
Must hold a Valid UK Driving Licence and own car as travel required
