Main Duties
- Circuit design – simulation and testing
- Assisting with specification writing
- Validation and verification of prototypes
- Relevant document writing
Essential Skills:
- Qualified in Electronics Engineering to degree level or a master’s level 1st. or 2:1
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial / industrial environment
- Circuit design and simulation experience focused on FPGA programming and digital electronics
- Knowledge of C or C++
- Self-planning and organisational skills, such as time and resource allocation
- Prepared to travel occasionally, within the UK and abroad.
- Commercial awareness
- Understanding of circuit debugging and test methodologies
- Experience with microcontrollers and/or embedded application processors/SoCs
- Understanding of firmware and software interactions with microcontroller-based designs
- Ability to work effectively with others as part of a cross-functional product design team
- Documentation of design decisions and implementation trade-offs
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of analogue and RF circuit design
- Some Mechanical Design experience
