Lincolnshire County Council have exciting opportunities for you to join our Highways Department within the area of Design Services as Highways-focussed Roads, Structures or Drainage experts as a Senior Engineer.
This is a superb opportunity for skilled Engineers to be part of our team. You could be inspecting the assets, designing minor works projects, or even working towards major schemes across the County.
About the role
LCC are in search of people who will work in the friendly, efficient and productive environment that is the Design Services Team. In LCC's Technical Services Partnership (TSP) we combine public and private sector know-how to provide technical and specialist highway-related engineering expertise.
As an enthusiastic and effective Senior Engineer, and effective Senior Engineer, alongside delivering your own schemes, you will assist the Principal Engineer in running a team of engineers of varying levels of experience delivering a wide variety of highway projects to time and budget.

We need positive and enthusiastic team players who will meet or exceed performance and productivity expectations. Successful candidates will develop their engineering skills and take responsibility for delivery of their own schemes. Having good communication skills, they will also demonstrate effective relationships in the way they work with colleagues and clients.
Working within the political and business environment of the Council you will develop strong positive relationships with clients, colleagues and partners across all service areas. You will need to think creatively and work collaboratively, seeking opportunities to assist in improving individual and team performance and service delivery in line with the Council’s objectives.

The role is based in Lancaster House in Lincoln, where your presence will be required for a minimum of two days per week and will reflect the needs of your team and the business. Some site attendance will also be required.
As Lincolnshire is big and rural, you will need a full driver's licence in order to use our pool vehicles to get around!
