Job Title: Senior Engineer - IT Systems (Architecture)

Salary: circa £50,000 dependant on experience
What you'll be doing:

Understanding customers' needs: analysing, preparing and communicating these through the use of architectural methodologiesDeveloping complex system architectures and providing evidence of fitness for purposeIdentifying and mitigating technical risk within a large scale, long duration programmeDeveloping and refining: Size, Weight, Heat and Power estimates for future Common Infrastructure systems to support submarine design and build activitiesCollaboratively engaging stakeholders to identify lesson learnt and opportunities for the transfer of best practiceTaking accountability for technical work packages

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:

Proven aptitude of applying engineering expertise to effectively solve problems within the context of unfamiliar systems, or environmentsAbility to effectively work in a complex, multi-disciplinary programme

Desirable:

Experience in System Architecture definition and development using frameworks such as: MoDAF, TOGAF, SOSAF, etcExperience with MBSE tools sets (Sparx Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, Cameo, etc.)Degree level qualification in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science) or equivalent industry / armed forces experience

You will be undertaking a role within the Future Submarines Combat Systems team, specifically 'Common Infrastructure'. The Common Infrastructure sub-system provides the hardware and software infrastructure (including processing, networking and storage), to support a range of Combat Systems applications, functions and equipment.
